I'm a guy at home and I'm making dinner for my girl. Now and then, she's making dinner for me. Sometimes we even eat out. No matter what, everyone's just cooking for Margy...
For the record, it's pronounced MAR-ghee, not MAR-jee.
We ate only five out of eight slices between us, a new low. I now understand that there can be no ordinary pizza until I satisfy my intensifying craving for something serious. It might be time to go to New Haven.
I bet you're right. South Philly knows how it's done. I'm not picky about the style -- thin crust, thick crust, whatever -- as long as the dough has some personality (with hopefully a bit of charring on the crust), the sauce some tang, and the cheese some flavor. It's a matter of quality ingredients, and the average pizza doesn't get there.

What are you looking for in a pizza? South Philly probably has something that could quench any pizza craving.

I had surprsingly good pizza in Portland recently. It was unlike anything I've ever had. The sauce has a nice little zing to it, too.
Good pizza in Portland? Who knew? I shall have to see for myself...
